Father, I lift up this person, who is grieving.
Their heart is broken, and there are no words that fix it.
Be close to this person in the quiet moments and the hard ones. In the mornings that feel empty, and the nights that feel long.
Comfort them in ways no one else can. Let them feel surrounded by love. In time, let the memories bring more comfort than pain.
And help me be present, even when I don't know what to say.
Amen.
